AchéDoc

2022 - 2023

I was the UI designer Jr in charge of creating the UI for easy navigation of the 3d view feature of organs, along with an UI senior and a PM. I assisted with research and structuring, and created the wireframe and final prototype.

The Project

AcheDoc is an app destined for doctors and students of all areas of medicine to keep up with the latest medical news, test their knowledge through quizzes and use the different tools available within the app for studying or even for consults. It is owned by Ache, a pharmaceutical company of great renown.

One of its great features is the 3D models of some of the human body's organs and systems. The 3D view includes a lot of features, but we were limited to the cellphone screen limitations to display them all to the user. It was my job to design all the buttons and organize them in the best way possible.

The Design

The main character is the 3D object. To keep the focus on it, the buttons were kept around the edges and almost all can be easily hidden away and only seen when needed. The most used buttons are kept on the right for easy thumb access. Due to the variety of options that could be complex to understand on first use, the choice was to write under the main navigation buttons what each of them mean.

When choosing a specific area of the 3D model the user can read more information about it at the top of the screen, or click on one of the links to learn more about it in another section inside of the app! Any other menus are kept at the bottom of the screen for easy access and navigation.

The main goal was to keep everything simple and clean while using the brand colors and we believe it was achieved.
